Give me a with a family of four. This place is awesome! We ordered the 1 pound of meat special that comes with rice fried egg and fried chips, It's big enough for two so be prepared to share.
We asked for a level one spice which was perfect for the amount of heat. My kids ordered a fried rice with chicken which was a nice complement to the 1 pound of meat dish. Our third dish was the Tom Yum soup with coconut milk, noodles and chicken. I believe we ordered the medium spice which was too spicy for my ten year old but was perfect for the rest of us! The soup was also amazing with white rice as a sauce. They also have take out so check your local delivery options.
The secret is out in Hollywood, a new #1 Thai Spot goes to Pao Pak! -

I really want to give ZERO star if possible . I never had this awful Thai food ever. We order two. One is fried rice and chicken. Picture show a chicken leg but I just got two wings. It's ok. I know chicken has only two legs. Problem is wing was not thoroughly cooked. Outside was hot but inside was still cold, Brussels sprouts also too hard and cold inside. I order what waitress recommended. Beef noodle. It looks like Noodle was way over cooked and beef was like a rubber. Garnish was Parmesan cheese from bottle. It didn't go well with noodle. No flavor. Only good thing was lemon with lice water. I felt whoever cook this food isn't a chef. I mentioned about cold chicken to a server.
But she didn't do anything, I wanted to like this new joint. But I don't think I will go back.
Another fusion Thai restaurant which doesn't have basic skills of the cooking. -

My friend and I ordered the Tom yum noodles. The broth was good and that's about it.
I was charged a dollar more than the menu stated to add seafood.
He mentioned that the lobster tail he added was old. We thought maybe this was just because not many people ordered lobster. Well, turns out my seafood variety also has a tough texture and didn't taste fresh either. It was actually quite unpleasant, the worst seafood I've had in a while.
So that was a pretty big letdown. We just went because it was by Safeway, I wouldn't go again.
Plus one star for giving us waters while we waited. -

I had high hopes for Pao Pak, as it looks great and has friendly service. It's also classic LA: a hole-in-the-wall Thai spot in a two-story strip mall with a Ralphs.
The menu isn't particularly vegan-friendly and doesn't label any options (even though they advertise "vegan options" on a window poster), but the staff understands the concept and was happy to oblige me.
I ended up with the drunken noodle ($11) which was simultaneously bland and also excessively spicy. It had no savory flavor at all.
The pad see ew ($11) tasted weird, with a stickiness to the sauce. Don't get this dish.
